The summer is here and with it brings the added guarantee of happy customers who want to sit in the sun and enjoy true hospitality at its finest. On the other hand, there are those working in the hospitality industry. Some have Bespoke Textiles’ well-designed hospitality uniforms that breathe and don’t retain heat in the summer warmth, these waitresses and kitchen staff are attentive and happy; they get good tips and happy customers. Then there are those that do not, those sweating it out in discomfort and misery. People are being warned by the Met Office to not spend too much time in the sun yet there are those who have to spend 8-10 hours in the sweltering heat of kitchens or running to and from sunny areas and roof terraced bars. The only thing worse would be the unforgiving and unseasonal uniforms of the Queen’s Guards. So what is the answer? Bespoke Textiles has spent years researching the exact pattern and recipe for happy, comfortable staff
Our founder, Katie Young Gerald, set up Bespoke Textiles nine years ago to design and supply the world of hospitality textiles, specializing in sustainable uniforms, bespoke fashion collections and textiles for tables, on the back of building collections and supply sources for fashion brands.
How Does Bespoke Textiles Begin the Hospitality Uniform Design Process?
High-end uniform product development is a complicated business. To begin with, we set up a style consultation meeting and sit down with a client to gather inspirational elements, using all kinds of pictures, swatches and garment references. Then, we narrow the vision down into one story, one message, one brand. Combining a base garment with these ideas and brand touches provides the perfect springboard for a fresh new uniform, or other textile-based product. Crucially, people are the heart of every bespoke uniform we design, and our experience and expertise allows Bespoke Textiles to be able to consider not only the style and brand requirements, but to be able to anticipate and resolve different uses and even seasonal issues each choice could incur.
When an employer is looking to source sustainable uniforms for a large body of staff they should try and bear in mind that they need to provide quality uniforms for both men and women, in a range of sizes and shapes, and that they need to be comfortable in both hot and cold weather whilst they are working. Expensive errors caused by limited options, lack of expertise and insight occur; and often bridging the gap with short term solutions can lead to a huge amount of waste of time and money.
This is where Bespoke Textiles excels. We are committed to sustainable product development and will organize the whole process from designing, organizing manufacturing, sourcing materials, doing product development and researching the optimal tailored uniform supply chain solution for your brand.
