Bespoke Textiles is a brand dedicated to creating tailored supply chains that save waste. Our aim is simple and our goal is achieved time and time again for multiple high-end hospitality and heritage brands, including The Soho House group, Bills Restaurants, The Ivy collection, The Ace Hotel and even globally respectable households.
And finally, Bespoke Textiles’ expertise and dedication to making the textiles industry more ethical and sustainable has been recognized by not one, but two professional awarding bodies. Bespoke Textiles is now a nominee for the Venus Awards’ Small Business Award, and the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, which is a part of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards. We could not be more thrilled!
Bespoke Textiles has been nominated for both of these awards because of the bespoke service they offer each and every new client when it comes to building their branded textiles collection or high-end hospitality uniforms and textiles items. It cannot be stressed enough just how bespoke each and every supply chain is for each client.
Founder, Katie Young Gerald, draws on her own personal experiences as a waitress for 10 years into when she tackles a new textile brief and design. She knows first-hand how important it is for staff to look and feel great in their uniform, and how this in turn benefits the brand ultimately. It takes 7 seconds to make a first impression on a customer as 86% of what we portray to others is non-verbal. Katie and her team act as fashion consultants and think of every angle that a Bespoke Textiles uniform will perform in and the human requirements, from how high a pocket in an apron ought to be, to the exact feel of stitched edging and fabric texture on the thumb around a napkin.

Aside from the unique level of detail Katie and her brand bring to the table, Bespoke Textiles has been creating eco-friendly and ethical fashion long before it was actually fashionable. Katie’s 25 years in the industry have been dedicated to creating long lasting connections with sustainable means of textile production from all over the world.
Bespoke Textiles will only work with family owned factories that treat their staff with respect and give them fair pay and excellent working conditions. Katie never takes anyone’s word for it either, she always visits each new factory to check how they treat their staff, and to perform her own quality control on the textiles and products produced.
She has made some lifelong friends in the process whilst also establishing high quality standards and ensuring the work environment is in line with our ethical requirements.
